May Business Luncheon
Q2 Business Luncheon
Most people are taught how to build businesses, manage tasks, and solve problems. Few are taught how to truly lead.
In this thought-provoking luncheon session, leadership strategist and mindful disruptor Angie Chaplin explores the often-overlooked shift from doing the work to leading through relationships, values, trust, and influence. Drawing from The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership®, Angie will share practical insights on credibility, culture, and the everyday behaviors that strengthen people, workplaces, and communities.
Whether you lead a business, a team, a nonprofit, or simply yourself, this conversation will challenge you to rethink leadership as something built through practice, not position — and why small, consistent leadership behaviors shape workplace engagement, culture, and long-term impact.
An early chapter of Angie’s career included serving as Chamber Executive for the Storm Lake Chamber (now Storm Lake United) in northwest Iowa. She graduated from Buena Vista University, where she later worked in both Admissions and University Communications & Marketing. She earned her master’s degree from Seton Hall University where she also served as a graduate school faculty member. Angie now lives in Waukee, where she continues building bold, human-centered approaches to leadership, recovery, and organizational change.
